Spring has sprung! And we're excited to tell you we've got lots of fantastic clubs on the way. Why not try your luck and enter the lottery for our trip to one of London’s most iconic buildings, the Shard! Or perhaps you just fancy a good old chin wag with some mates down at Pub Club? Read on to find out what we've got on in April.

There are three different ways to join in the fun:

1. Attend a face-to-face club (marked 👫 in the list below). Please call 0207 118 0404 to book a place or arrange an induction.

2. Take part using a computer, tablet or a smartphone with an internet connection (marked 💻 in the list below). If you’ve got access to the internet at home, you just need to download Zoom to join, which we can support with if you get in touch.

3. Join a virtual club over the phone (marked 📞 in the list below). You can either call Zoom to join the club, or we can call you!

👫 Monday 4th April, 11am-1pm: Two Temple Place

Join us for another trip to Two Temple Place, where we’ll embark on a tour around one of London's hidden architectural gems. Completed in 1895, this stunning neo-Gothic mansion is known for its architecture and contains notable works by the likes of William Silver Frith, Sir George Frampton RA, Nathaniel Hitch and Thomas Nicholls.

👫 Tuesday 5th April, 6-7:30pm: Pub Club

Come on in for a refreshing drink, catch up with old pals and make some new ones at our monthly Pub Club. Swap stories and jokes over a tipple, and raise a glass to new friendships.

👫 Wednesday 6th April, 11am-12:30pm: Brunch Club

Join your neighbours for a scrumptious brunch. Come along for a cup of tea, a slice of cake and some great chat in this welcoming corner of Peckham.

👫 Thursday 7th April, 11:45am-1pm: Ballroom and Latin

Get grooving and finesse your Ballroom and Latin steps with Vera the Diva. Expect some light exercise, plenty of fun and some new moves to show your pals. People of all abilities are welcome: absolutely no experience necessary!

👫 Monday 11th April, 2:30-4pm: Chair Yoga

Join us for some light exercise and calming breathing at a yoga club that is perfect for beginners. Expect some gentle stretching as well as plenty of time for a chat.

👫 Tuesday 12th April, 6-7:30pm: Quiz

Put your knowledge to the test and find a good use for all those facts at our monthly Quiz Club. Team up with your neighbours and laugh your way to victory at this evening of fun and games.

📞 Thursday 14th April, 4-5pm: Coffee & Catch Up

Grab a cuppa, and dial in for an hour of chatting and sharing stories with your younger neighbours over the phone. This month we’ll be planning our own biopics: who would play you in a film? Would it be a comedy, thriller or musical?

👫 Tuesday 19th April, 6-7:30pm: Board Games Bonanza

Get ready for an evening of board games with your fellow neighbours. We’ll provide the games and some drinks – all you need to bring is a willingness to have fun!

👫 Wednesday 20th April, 2-4pm: Technology Workshop

Want to improve your confidence with your phone, tablet or laptop? Come along for a cuppa and bring your gadgets and technology-related questions with you!

📹 Thursday 21st April, 2:30-3:30pm: Virtual Crossword Club

Release your inner 'puzzle-person', engage your mind and have a pop at a crossword with your neighbours. No need to be a crossword connoisseur, everyone’s welcome.

👫 Sunday 24th April, 2-5pm: Film Screening

This month we’ll be watching ‘I, Daniel Blake’. After surviving a heart attack, a 59-year-old carpenter must fight bureaucratic forces to receive Employment and Support Allowance. Be advised: there are swear words as well as some verbal sexual references voiced in the film. There are also depictions of poverty and hardship that some people might find upsetting.

👫 Monday 25th April, 1-2pm: Walking Boxing

Have you ever wanted to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee? Well, here’s your chance (at a much slower pace of course). Engage in some non-contact boxing training at a walking pace.

👫 Tuesday 26th April, 6-7:30pm: Desert Island Discs

Like the radio show of its namesake, come with a song in mind and why it’s meaningful to you, or just listen, dance and enjoy the atmosphere! Earlier this month we celebrated April Fools Day, and in honour of that the theme for this week is ‘Silly’. Choose a song that makes you get up, dance and feel joyous and ‘silly’. No need to bring any records/CDs with you – just the name of the song and artist.

👫 Thursday 28th April, 11am-2pm: Sapphire Systems Workplace Visit

Tuck into tea, cake and conversation at one of London’s most iconic buildings, as we are hosted by Sapphire Systems, an accountancy and business software firm based at The Shard.

👫 Thursday 28th April, 6-7:30pm: Creative Writing

Explore poetry, short story writing and find your voice at our Creative Writing club. Absolutely no writing experience is necessary!

This month's #AllTogether Activity Pack is full of creative pursuits to complete at home, including celebrating April Fools Day, Easter and National Haiku Poetry Day.

Join in the fun by downloading the pack here. Please do share with your friends, family, neighbours, tenants, patients, clients, grandparents and anyone else you think might enjoy a little bit of fun in 2022.

We’d love to include your ideas and completed tasks in our monthly pack, so please continue sending them to [email protected].

If you want to book a space at a social club, have any questions, or would like to find out more about any of our programmes, please call us on 0207 118 0404.

We hope to see you soon!
