We're hiring! Join our team as Programme Coordinator (Love Your Neighbour)

South London Cares are seeking a passionate, diligent, tenacious, organised people-person to join our growing team as Programme Coordinator (Love Your Neighbour), running our one-to-one friendship programme in Southwark and Lambeth.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team tackling one of the biggest social challenges of our time – loneliness and isolation in our capital city.

committed, driven, resilient self-starter, you will work with our experienced Head of Programmes and the rest of our team to manage and support our much valued network of young professionals and older neighbours who hang out and help one another in various exciting ways in Southwark and Lambeth.

Day-to-day you will meet older neighbours in various circumstances – from the most active, outgoing fun-loving 90-somethings to people with huge and complex challenges navigating a complicated world. You will need to diligently and warmly articulate South London Cares’ vision and the aims and objectives of our Love Your Neighbour programme so that all participants – including older and younger neighbours, family members, health agencies, councils and other partners – understand the role we play.

And you will need to support those neighbours to get the most out of their mutually beneficial relationships – through our check-in processes, regular reviews, informal encouragement, digital storytelling and other reporting requirements, so that South London Cares continues to grow and the relationships we build continue to thrive.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you...
