Elf! A Winter Wellbeing Fundraiser

Our Winter Wellbeing project kicked off in earnest this week, with Outreach Coordinator Elyssa and Outreach Officer Depeeka hitting the streets to make sure older neighbours are staying warm, active, healthy and connected during the winter months.

To make this work possible, we're hosting our most ambitious fundraiser yet; a pop up screening of Elf!

This is so much more than a screening. Held in the Cinema Museum's iconic main auditorium, you can expect:

Food, drinks and festive fun from 6.30pm. Film starts at 8pm and the event will end around 10pm (inc. interval)

About Winter Wellbeing

Our annual Winter Wellbeing project has been designed to ensure that a community infrastructure is in place to support the most isolated older neighbours across our patch during the toughest time of year.

For the next six months our Outreach team will speak to hundreds of people over 65, host community events, distribute clothing and blankets, help people keep the heat on, refer neighbours for additional support and connect them to our activities – all to help older neighbours stay warm, active, healthy and connected during the winter months.

Last year, we offered support to 1,420 older people, delivered 277 warm items to people who felt cold in their homes, held 77 winter social clubs and recorded 1,333 older neighbour attendances at our events.
