January Social Clubs...too soon?

In case you've missed it, it's nearly Christmas and it's all that most of us are thinking about. So it might sound like a weird question to ask, but what will you be up to in January?

At South London Cares you can forget your woes at the close of the festive season. There’s no reason to feel Janu-weary when we've got 18 ways to help you make January less dreary for your older neighbours!

January can be a hard month whether we're trying to battle the cold weather or start post-Christmas diets. But it can be a particularly isolating time for some of our older neighbours. The long dark evenings can feel more lonely and it's just that bit harder for people to feel like there's lots to look forward to.

Richard told us recently that "coming out to see you all is always the highlight of my day!"

If you’re looking for a New Year’s resolution with a difference, why not come and meet Sid, Maria, or Pat at one of our shiny new social clubs? Each social club is about creating new connections and having that conversation which makes someone's day just that bit better and brighter.

So what's going on at SLC? You could get pitch perfect at our new fortnightly choir in Peckham (no singing experience necessary!), jive to some live music in Brixton, or make a new older mate on our visit to the Tate. However you want to get involved, we’d love to have you on board!
