Yesterday saw Nick complete his epic triathlon in aid of South London Cares.
After swimming the length of the channel during the week, and cycling 100 miles on Saturday, Nick completed the marathon distance in a fantastic three hours 35 minutes.
He did the last eight miles around a sunny Dulwich Park, cheered on by his family and friends. At the end of each lap, he was greeted by a round of applause, much needed water and his daughters to run at his side.
Nick aimed to complete his mammoth triathlon in 24 hours; he actually did it in an impressive 22 hours and ten minutes.
"Right now, I think I want to go to the pub!" he gasped afterwards. "Ultimately I wanted it to mean something. It meant something to me, but hopefully it meant something to the charity and the difference they make."
Nick, it means a great deal to South London Cares. By fundraising for us in this awesome way, you will help bring our communities in Southwark and Lambeth together to share laughter, stories and fun. So thank you from us all and well done!
It's not too late to support Nick. You can see his fundraising page here. By supporting Nick's awesome efforts, you could make an older neighbour feel valued in their community.
