South London Cares will be turning one in August – so we have a fun-filled month of birthday celebrations and exciting clubs for you to be part of and ways to share laughs with your older neighbours.
With summer dinner parties in Herne Hill and a trip to Frank's Cafe in Peckham, as well as our birthday bonanza day with homemade ice cream and games galore, there's tonnes to get involved with.
You're also invited to compete in our birthday quiz on August 19th (get your tickets quick – there are only 70!) at the Dogstar, one of Brixton's many brilliant watering holes. Win yourself some fancy prizes in the raffle, watch our brand new film and celebrate with us! We'd love to see you there.
In July, you – our volunteers – hung out with 155 older neighbours in Southwark and Lambeth. You've learnt about your community in days gone by, helped neighbours use email and shared summer vibes over BBQs.
You're stars, and in just one year you've made a difference to over 400 older neighbours. Just think how many you can meet next year! August's social clubs are listed below – please just sign up to be part of it.
