Social Clubs in June – join the summer fun!

It's time to look forward to the official start of a new season - and at SLC we are taking the summer very seriously and embracing the outdoors at our Social Clubs.

Social Clubs are a core part of how our volunteers support their older neighbours. They spend time chatting, sharing stories and helping to make our older neighbours feel valued and visible. But they get something out of it too:

"It's so nice to speak to people who have lived in the area a while, as everyone is usually so transient."

From planting tomatoes and strawberries in our new Streatham garden, to our first BBQ in Walworth, there are so many chances for new volunteers to get involved.

And for our regular volunteer family, we're giving the clubs a fresh twist for the summer. So get your sunnies out and join your older neighbours for some summer fun in June!

Our amazing volunteers - all 140 of them - have spent time with over 360 Older neighbours in Southwark and Lambeth sharing stories and skills. It is making difference to them all, so don't stop now.
