Springtime fun at our Easter pub quiz

Our fundraising pub quiz has turned into something of a regular at the East Dulwich Tavern, who once again let us take over the top floor of their pub last Wednesday. Supporters from across the network came together to raise money for South London Cares' summer (!) activities. A massive thank you to the EDT for once again being such fabulous hosts, and for donating a £30 bar tab to our raffle! 

We had a fantastic mix of old and new supporters on the night. A special mention goes to the “Hot Cross Hons” who win best Easter pun team name! 

We also had a raffle full of prizes that would put the Easter bunny to shame! It was wonderful to get support from local businesses across our patch. We had posh Easter eggs donated by Boulangerie Jade, vouchers for cheese (you read right!) from the delectable Mons Cheesemongers, a brilliant sushi masterclass from Sakeya London, a meal for two at Terroirs Wine Bar AND Rosa’s Thai Café, and the most delicious red velvet cakes donated from the lovely Alexandra at Sponge and Cream.

But not all the prizes were food related! We had some wonderful presents donated from 20 Storey, and our premier prize was a month’s yoga pass to Fierce Grace Brixton – worth over £100! A huge thanks to them, and to all of our sponsors for their generous donations. 

Thanks to ticket sales, and to those incredible raffle prizes, we were able to raise a fantastic £639.12 for our summer social clubs! When you think that just £20 could help fund a club from start to finish, that is a really wonderful result.
