Cares’ Sweet Mondays happens every first Monday of the month, and is the perfect opportunity to host a bake sale to share a cupcake or cookie with your colleagues, friends or family.

All South London Cares’ activities are free for both our younger and older neighbours, and without our wonderful fundraisers, we wouldn’t be able to carry out our Social Clubs, Love Your Neighbour programme, or proactive Outreach work. And when £40 could fund a Social Club, hosting a bake sale on Sweet Mondays will help more neighbours in your community share time, laughter and friendship!

Thinking about baking at work? Why not get your colleagues involved as well. Volunteer Louise managed to inspire her whole office to get involved in baking, and of top of it she organised a raffle. Her range of sweet and savoury goodies, and her creativity, meant that her team raised an awesome £275.

It’s also a great opportunity to chat about South London Cares work and why it’s important to you, getting more colleagues or friends involved with their local community.

So whether in the office, at home or with friends, and hold a bake sale and help more friendships across Southwark and Lambeth possible.
