So, what's this January thing all about? For us at South London Cares it will involve earlier mornings than times of late, less pastry-based food, and planning an exciting new year connecting young volunteers to their older neighbours across south London.
2015 is set to be an exciting year for all of us at SLC. With your help, we'll be able to make a big difference tackling loneliness and isolation amongst our older neighbours in Southwark and Lambeth, through our Social Clubs and one-to-one Love Your Neighbour project.
So why not to join our family of volunteers? Could you give a couple of hours a month to get to know an older neighbour?
Will you help us host 3 New Tech Workshops, Film Nights, or Dinner Parties? Will you visit an older neighbour and become more connected to your community? Will you be getting to know your communities in Brixton, Borough, Stockwell, Walworth, Elephant & Castle, Kennington and elsewhere nearby that little bit better this year?
Whatever your skills and passions, we'd love to put them to good use this year supporting our neighbours - so why not make your new year's pledge to be actively involved with South London Cares? Check out our January diary below - and start the new year off right away by signing up to an SLC social club now.---
