Saturdays are normally a day for relaxing; having a lie in, meeting friends, or maybe even joining us at one of our Social Clubs. But for our awesome supporter Nick, chilling was far from his mind as he spent five and a half hours sweating it out on a watt bike.

Today, Nick completed stage two of his epic triathlon in aid of South London Cares. Having spent Monday to Friday swimming the length of the Channel in his local pool, he spent his Saturday cycling an exhausting 100 miles at Cadence in Crystal Palace.

Armed with bananas, energy gels, protein balls and his favourite film, Chariots of Fire, Nick jumped on the bike at 11am and didn't stop pedalling...well, he only stopped to speak to us.

"Tired, tried, tired," he gasped, when we asked him how he was holding up around the halfway mark. But he had a big grin on his face and an inspiring determination to see it out.

He managed to complete the 100 miles in 330 minutes, with a good sprint finish to top it all off.

This leaves Nick with around five hours and 25 minutes to complete the final stage of his 24-hour triathlon tomorrow – by running the marathon distance.

It's an incredible challenge, and all the money Nick raises will go towards South London Cares. With every stroke, pedal and step, he is helping bring our community together.

Well done Nick for getting this far in such style – and good luck for the final hurdle tomorrow!
