You Came, You Sleighed, You Conquered!

Last Tuesday at the East Dulwich Tavern, South London Cares supporters came out in force to our Winter Pub Quiz. We sold an amazing 100 tickets for the quiz at the East Dulwich Tavern, who kindly let us take over their top floor for the evening. Thank you EDT!

It was a real treat for me to meet volunteers (and neighbours!) who I have heard so much about, but not met in person yet. And what a way to ring in the festive season, with carol song crafts, christmas cracker questions and mulled cider a’plenty. Rene, Beverly, Amita and Syed especially got into the spirit of the evening, check out the headgear!

We also had a raffle full of amazing prizes that made it feel like Christmas morning! A HUGE thank you to all those lovely people that donated raffle prizes, including Ciaté, East Dulwich Tavern, Whiskey Ginger, Oddono’s, Picturehouse, William Rose, Konditor and Cook, Ms Vegan, Utobeer, Emilia UK and Tartufaia. Thank you also to Sarah, who helped me source some of those fantastic prizes!

Thanks to ticket sales, and the raffle we raised a total of £981.55! And that is not all! The last thanks of the evening goes to the amazing Alice. Alice is a star volunteer at South London Cares, who volunteered both before the quiz and on the night itself. Alice works for Barclays, who are going to DOUBLE what we raised! This means the grand total raised for South London Cares was £1,963.10!

A huge thank you to everyone who came, donated prizes and time to raise money for South London Cares. You guys rock.
