Charlotte and Patrick have been a staple at South London Cares’ Social Clubs for a year, and are about to leave our SLC family to go travelling in South East Asia before moving to Australia for a year or two. Amber and Irene live in the same patch of Walworth, and both feel strongly rooted in south London. But it can be easy to feel lacking in connections to your neighbours and to your community. So when we introduced them as part of our Love Your Neighbour programme, we knew they'd be sharing stories and perspectives in no time. Read on to find out about their new friendship.
South London Cares' new colleague, Ruby, has joined the team to lead our Love Your Neighbour Programme, matching up older neighbours and volunteers one to one for new friendship. In her first blog, she describes her first week and why she's excited to get started.

Baby, it’s cold outside! Save the date for the ultimate feel good winter warmer – the ever-popular South London Cares pub quiz is back on Tuesday 29th November at the The Draft House, Tower Bridge. Please note this event has sold out.
On Sunday 9th October, over 10 volunteers took on a challenge in aid of South London Cares by completing the Royal Parks Half Marathon or the Bear Grylls Survival Race. Val shares how our brave team fared.
