Winter's on its way - what we're doing to help

For many of us winter means new coats, hot chocolate, duvet days and festivities. But this isn’t the case for everyone. Some of our older neighbours will find this time of year troublesome and isolating, but through our Winter Wellbeing project we can provide support to help them tackle the cold.

Volunteer Organiser extraordinaire, Amita

Amita first joined the South London Cares community back in May 2016. Since then she’s been regular at social clubs: from Desert Islands Discs, to an Elvis party to pub club. In the last 8 months she’s also gone the extra mile by running our Peckham choir as an SLC Volunteer Organiser – enabling us to run even more social clubs each month for older and younger neighbours to share time together.
